Spinifex

Sensors for touring Australia

Know your rig.

Tyre pressure for the car, the van and the spares, on a small screen on the dash and in an app on your phone. Sensors you can swap at the roadside. Built in Australia for corrugations.

The kit

Spinifex is one system. Every product reports to the same dash, the same app and the same support tools, so adding a sensor later never means another app.

Spinifex Tyre

Pressure and temperature for every tyre on the rig, the trailer and both spares. Alarms when a tyre is low, a warning when it is high or hot, and a no-signal flag if a sensor goes quiet.

  • Up to 8 tyres: 4 car, 2 trailer, 2 spares
  • Road and off-road targets, so airing down doesn't set off alarms
  • Auto targets: fit a sensor, the pressure you set becomes the target

Spinifex Dash

A small bright screen that lives on the dash, runs off USB, and shows every tyre at a glance. Two buttons do everything: pages, units, learn a new sensor, set targets. No laptop, ever.

  • Pages rotate between car, trailer and spares
  • Remembers the last readings across power-ups
  • Updates itself from the phone app

Spinifex Relay

A matchbox-sized range extender for the back of a long rig or the van drawbar, so the dash hears the trailer and the spares.

  • No pairing, no setup
  • Powered from any USB point

In testing

Coming: Spinifex Level for the van, Spinifex Tank for water, Spinifex Power for 12 V. Same dash, same app.

Made for the lap

Spinifex is the grass that covers the inland. It's the first thing you see when you leave the bitumen and it survives heat, drought and fire. This kit is built for the same country: a 4WD with a van or camper behind it, two spares on the back, and a long way between towns.

It's a small-run product made by a traveller for travellers. If something goes wrong, you talk to the person who built it, and they can see your dash's health from home when you let them.

"Rear right is low. Target 42, now 33."

What the app says instead of "threshold exceeded".
